MAKÜ Folk Dance Team Shared the Joy of Championship with Rector Dalgar

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Folk Dance Team shared their championship joy by visiting Rector Dalgar.

On November 25-26, MAKÜ Folk Dance Team, which participated in the Folk Dance Competition organized within the scope of the 20th Universities Folk Dance Folk Music Festival in Bartın, returned from the competition with the championship cup. Continuing the tradition of being successful in every competition they participate in and making the MAKÜ family proud by winning a total of 5 championships, including 4 consecutive times, MAKÜ Folk Dance Team, along with the responsible faculty members, was hosted in the senate room by Rector Dalgar, who congratulated each member of the team individually; “Being successful in the field of folk dance from a place we call the center of folk culture like Burdur is much more meaningful. We need to take this to an international level. You had a performance that provided an extraordinary visual pleasure with your choreography and harmony. I consider it an important success both socially and culturally, as well as academically. I congratulate each of you individually and kiss your eyes. You really made us very happy. May your success be everlasting. As a university, our support is always with you and will continue to be with you in your journey of success and in taking these successes further. I would like to express this clearly. I thank our teachers who have contributed to you and our friends at SKS individually. Hopefully, our teachers will draw a vision for us in this regard. We will also support you in this journey. You will have many successes that will make us proud. I thank each of you individually” he said.

In the visit where their performance in the competition was shown on the screen, the responsible faculty members of the MAKÜ Folk Dance Team, Assoc. Dr. Zeynel Turan, Dr. Lecturer Nurgül Mıhladız and Lecturer Uğur Bulut were also present.
