FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CAFETERIA

 

-Is there a student cafeteria within the university campus?

Yes. The student cafeteria serves in the Health Culture and Sports Department in the Avşar Han building and in the Faculty of Theology.

Additionally, we also have a cafeteria in our Central Campus.

 

-Is there a cafeteria in the districts?

Yes. We have university cafeterias in all our districts.

 

-How can I benefit from the cafeterias?

You can benefit by making a reservation or loading money through the kiosk devices in our cafeterias.

Additionally, you can also make a reservation using your OBS information at the web address akillikart.mehmetakif.edu.tr.

 

-How can I make a reservation for the cafeteria?

You can make your reservation 1-2 weeks in advance until Friday at 10:00 for the week you will eat through the kiosk or web address.

Reservation hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 00:15 - 23:00
- Friday: 00:15 - 10:00

 

-Are the online loading transactions for the cafeteria secure?

Yes. With the 3D Secure (Secure Payment) method, a one-time password is sent to your mobile phone via SMS.    

 

-How can I pass through the cafeterias?

You can pass through the turnstiles with your student ID when you come to the cafeteria where you made a reservation.

 

-I forgot to make a reservation for the cafeteria, what can I do?

You can benefit from our cafeterias by loading the daily meal fee to your card through the kiosk devices.

 

-Can I use the balance I loaded on my student card through the kiosk for reservations when I log into the system from the web address?

No. For reservations made through the web, the reservation process is done by directly entering your bank information.

 

-I have money on my student card. But I can't see it when I log into the system on the web address?

The fees you loaded through the kiosk will be visible 1 day after you scan your card in the cafeteria system.

 

-My student ID card has not yet reached me, how can I benefit from the cafeteria?

If you make a reservation with your OBS information at the web address akillikart.mehmetakif.edu.tr, the necessary reservation control will be done by the Smart Card Unit, and you will be able to benefit from the cafeteria.

 

-I have a reservation but I forgot my student ID card, can I benefit from the cafeteria?

After the necessary checks are done by coming to the Smart Card Unit, you will be able to benefit from the cafeteria. However, due to the necessity of scanning the card in the system, you may receive a warning for frequent card forgetfulness.

 

-Although money was deducted from my card by the system, my reservation is not visible, what can I do?

If you visit the Smart Card Unit, the necessary checks will be done, and the reservation process will be defined on your card on the same day.

 

-Can I see the cafeteria menu?

-I have a cafeteria reservation but I want to cancel it, what can I do? 

Instead of canceling in our system, there is an option to open. You can open the reservation day you want to cancel by clicking delete. It will be seen on the screen as an opened reservation and this right will be used in your first reservation.

 

-What should I do in case of problems related to the cafeteria?

You need to visit the Smart Card Unit of the Health Culture and Sports Department.
